Members of the Operations House Committee who defeated the Vikings stadium bill
The Vikings quest for a new home, keeping the team in Minnesota suffered a huge set back last night, potentially sending the team to Los Angeles.
Below is the contact information of the Legislators who voted out the purple and gold. Please contact them expressing your frustrations.
Tell them, we’ll remember in November.
We have always stayed away from making this a partisan issue, but notably last night five Republicans voted for the stadium and only one Democrat supported it. With labor unions pushing hard on Democrats to help with the 20 percent unemployment among the labor trades we are shocked that the DFL let down their union supporters.
Tell them, we’ll remember in November.

what is sad is that Greene has already been defeated do to re-districting there was no reason she could not have voted to move the bill along, perhaps it would have 1 addtional GOPer to make 8-7.
I knew that the politicians in Minnesota would SCREW things up. I really hope that Joyce Peppin and the other eight who ruined the Vikings Stadium bill are satisfied and proud of themselves. They have turned the entire state of Minnesota into a target for jokes from football fans in the rest of America, all of Canada (where I am) and around the world. If the Vikings relocate to Los Angeles because of these STUPID clowns, hopefully Target Corp, 3M, Best Buy and other major corporations move their corporate headquarters to somewhere outside the state of Minnesota. These politicians have figuratively (and literally) transformed the Twin Cities into the Trash Cities. All because they chased away the #1 sports franchise in Minnesota. Just pathetic and absolutely disgusting.
If not Minneapolis, then why not try Arden Hills or Shakopee once again. Having the new stadium in one of these two places is better than a venue in Los Angeles or the City of Industry.
Rep. Dean Urdahl voted YES and should not be on this list IMHO.
Yes, indeed they will hear from the voters in November. Why would the state put themselves in jeopardy of purchasing a new time within the next 5-10 years which will be double the cost if they make a decision today. The State of Minnesota is very odd with its decisions. The Vikings have waited patiently for the last 10 years and I don’t blame them if they move the team.
Why am I listed as an opponent of the stadium? I voted YES on the bill and spoke for it. Dean Urdahl
Representative Urdahl, your name was not supposed to be on this list. Our sincerest apologies.
You are correct. Mistake on our part. His name is now removed.
“If not Minneapolis, then why not try Arden Hills or Shakopee once again.” – Yes, why not Shakopee or Arden Hills? If the legislature can consider pulltabs for Minneapolis, they can do it for other locations, too, can’t they?
As a lifelong Vikings fan I have kept up with this issue for quite some time. To allow political ambition/survival dictate policy on an economic asset to the state of Minnesota and the thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in revenues that would be generated is retarded. When I read that some of the legislative members say ” Well if he or she would have voted yes, then I would have also”. I could not believe that actually came out of a legislators(child’s) mouth. I truly hope that the millions of angry Vikings fans run you out of office and away from your jobs, since you care very little for those who are unemployed and seeking economic recovery. People want to sugarcoat their vernacular and patronize these legislators so they vote yes, I say since they have their own self interest in mind that when they lose this team that the millions of Vikings fans make sure that the State of Minnesota loses their services and votes them out of office so they can be unemployed along with the other thousandss of people in Minnesota that lost employment opportunity. As a democrat, I am particularly reviled by the legislators who should be looking out for the unemployed, simply disgusting.
So the state feels like 300 million is to much. I thought that 300
Million out of the 1 billion was going towards labor cost. How much the state is paying out in unemployment to construction workers? Could they sell shares in the stadium like the packers did?
Atleast if the Vikings leave MN it will save our group from spending 90,000.00-100,000.00 a year in Minnesota and spend it in South Dakota on something my group of season ticket holders like to do in SD. Thats Right, 90,000 per year and thats a group of 6 ticket holder from SD that have no reason to go to Minn. except for the Vikings. We’ve had the season tickets since 1998. 14 x 90,000 = 1.2 million to Minn. Wake up Minnesota !!!!!!
If our politicians can not get along and work together to get things done… Then I say we FIRE all of them! Get an entire new group of politicians that are able to work together and get things done! I personally will not vote for another incumbent again if they can’t get this done. This is jobs and income for the state.
