Vikings Stadium Vote Tomorrow – Be There For Game Day!

All across Minnesota three million Vikings fans are uniting to make the final push to keep the Vikings! Yesterday at the Mall of America Jared Allen joined forces with Governor Mark Dayton, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, Senator Julie Rosen, Representative Terry Morrow and Vikings VP of Public Affairs Lester Bagley to ask fans to contact their lawmaker!

Thousands of Vikings fans turned out to attend the rally and we hope you have followed Jared’s instructions. And if you have emailed your Lawmaker in the past few days we are asking you to email them again, along with their colleagues.

Vikings fans: It is critical to contact your Representative in order to get enough votes to pass the bill! Call and email your lawmaker telling them it’s NOW OR NEVER to pass the Vikings stadium bill!

There are two ways to contact your Rep. First, if you are short on time you can contact your rep using our Legislative contact tool by clicking here.

With the vote around the corner the most effective way to email them is to copy and paste the email addresses at the bottom of this communication into your email editor and send them a personalized message.

And again on Monday morning starting at 7am, BLOW UP THEIR PHONES by calling to follow up on the email you sent them. Tell them you would like to speak to them about supporting the Vikings stadium bill. You can find your Representatives phone number by clicking here.

Here are few key points to consider when contacting them:

  • The Vikings are a cultural and economic asset that needs to be preserved by building a new stadium
  • The Vikings generate $20-30 million in annual tax revenue to the state of Minnesota
  • This bill contains no general tax funds
  • The state portion being funded by electronic pull tabs has been verified and validated by the Department of Revenue, Royal Bank of Canada and Goldman Sachs

Your presence is also requested at the Capitol on Monday. The House goes into session at 10am and it is predicted they will take up the stadium vote at approximately 2pm. The more Vikings fans that can be at the Capitol, the better chances we have of passing the Vikings stadium bill! Please bring as many people with you as possible.

For an event this big, the Vikings are bringing in current players and alumni starting at 2pm! We hope to see you there for Game Day!

Thank you for your support!
