Stadium Authorities

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) is the second generation of what was the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission (MSFC). The goal of the MSFA is to manage the design, planning and construction of the Vikings/People’s stadium.

The MSFA was appointed in part by  Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton and City of Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak. Dayton appointed Chair Michele Kelm Helgen (former Dayton staffer), Bill McCarthy(Labor) and Duane Benson (Former Executive Director of the Minnesota Business Partnership and NFL player). Rybak appointed Barbara Butts-Williams (Dean, Capella University) and John Griffith (EVP, Target Corporation).

The MSFA meets every third Friday (meeting schedule found here) and additional details regarding the MSFA can be found on their website,
